Information You Submit
A third-party provider receives the name, phone number, or address entered in a search form. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details included in your message and use them to answer.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs can contain an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps maintain the site and identify which pages are useful. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may also rely on cookies or comparable technologies.
How Information Is Used
Information supports site operations, fault diagnosis, traffic counts, and page improvements. We neither sell visitor lists nor create profiles of individual users.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to county and state portals, archive and library collections, and third-party search services. Data entered after leaving this site is governed by the destination's policy. Sponsored results are also supplied by a third party under that provider's own practices.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
Safeguarding Limited Data
An encrypted connection protects traffic to the site, and logs are retained only while needed for the purposes described above. Visitors create no account here, so the site holds no visitor password or account profile.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Privacy rights depend on where a visitor lives and on the law that applies. Illinois did not have a broad, generally applicable consumer data-privacy act identified in the project research as of August 2026. Because we retain little data, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and available server logs, then removing data we control when appropriate. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Illinois, Cook County, or South Holland offices remain under the custodian's control, so correction or removal requests must go there.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
